Hi everyone, am having problem with my BBB server and I need help

* Problem #1: when I try to access my BBB with local IP addr:
192.168.0.104
I get to see the welcome page, but after I click to join, it directs
me to:
http://192.168.0.104/bigbluebutton/demo/demo1.jsp?username=name&action=create
and about less than a millisecond, it automatically re-directs me to
http://myfyp.dyndns.biz/bigbluebutton/api/join?meetingID=Demo+Meeting&fullName=abc&password=mp&checksum=3854cd5458a3c5de212e97b738d1153a7dea3f4a
,which according to my browser it is a broken link
Whereas, that http://myfyp.dyndns.biz is my external DNS (back then
I've run bbb-conf --setip myfyp.dyndns.biz)

Not to mention, accessing it within WAN / externally is just perfectly
perfect

* Problem #2: Though accessing my BBB server through Internet (http://
myfyp.dyndns.biz) is OK,
but accessing it within LAN? it gives me my modem configuration
setting (same as if we go to 192.168.0.1)
I guess it should be the problem with my own modem setting, but
believe me, I've tried all possible ways to fix it, but I just
couldn't manage to solve it.

* Problem 3: Is my problem #2 that causes problem #1?

Regards, Andrian

Hi Andrian,

It sounds like you are able to service your external audience. As I
replied earlier, not sure why the internal access is getting
redirected to your router.

As an aside, I can see you've posted this question already here:

http://groups.google.com/group/bigbluebutton-setup/browse_thread/thread/6a0fd284789d9786#

and here

http://groups.google.com/group/bigbluebutton-dev/browse_thread/thread/13c0bf2a77408ef2

As this is the third post for this question, if you don't get any
help, I think it's safe to assume that the volunteers in this forum
are not able to assist.

Can I suggest if you *really* need it to work for both inside/outside
your network, then setup an external server for BigBlueButton. We
know that setup works, and you'll bypass all the headaches of trying
to setup access through your firewall/router.

Regards,... Fred

Is this the only local IP that gives you this error? could you try describe your network setup, as per how does internal users get ip and what ip does the BBB server have on it...etc
I get to see the welcome page, but after I click to join, it directs

Why did you run this? it seem to me that your BBB server has a public IP on its interface?

Not to mention, accessing it within WAN / externally is just perfectly
perfect

Is your BBB server having the same public ip with your router interface?
I guess it should be the problem with my own modem setting, but
believe me, I've tried all possible ways to fix it, but I just
couldn't manage to solve it.

* Problem 3: Is my problem #2 that causes problem #1?
You need to provide a more descriptive details so we could help out....
