Recording not being processed - `first_event_timestamp': undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClas

Hi,

We are seeing /usr/local/bigbluebutton/core/lib/recordandplayback/generators/events.rb:71:in `first_event_timestamp': undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass  in our logs and room recordings aren't being processed? Everything has been working then it stopped this week, no updates have been done.

Anyone got any insight?

Our events.xml seem not to have any details in them, just a <recording></recording> with only the details and metadata in it, and no time stamps. These are all through the moodle plugin and everything is set to record on start. Anyone know what could have happened? We are up to 88% space used on the drive, but still 60G available

When is the last time you restarted the bbb services on this server?  What version are you running.

 

Try bbb-conf –restart, and do a test recording to see if events appear,    I have had this issue back about 6months ago with< 2.2.14? where this happened on a heavily used server,  a restart fixed the issue,  lost recordings for those affected meetings.

We have rebooted and moved our storage to NFS with more capacity, and recording seems to have resumed, and we can rebuild some of yesterdays rooms, but it only seems to output the video, no slides or audio, even though it is in the raw directory, OPUS/SVG files etc. Is there any way to process these manually off server?

All with one slide, and no corresponding directory in the var/bigbutton structure.

Its hard to believe that 6 meetings were created at exact same time?   Wonder if your server was locked up some how.

Do you have cpu graphs

 

How much memory/cpu cores?

I had a look at graphs and CPU hardly goes above 25% across the day, memory was at 19GB useage at that time, we have 24GB in the server.

260 participants over 15 rooms, only 2 camera active across the lot, mostly voice.

Dual Intel Xeon E5-2640 v4, 10 core I think, so 20 full cores, 40 hyperthreaded.

doesn't make any sense!
