Hi

For one of our clients we are implementing moodle as LMS and we want
to use BBB integrated with it. Both us and our client want to use BBB
considering its features.
However we couldn't find sufficient information on whether they work
well together and if there are any known problems or bugs with these
two working together.
I want to ask if anybody had experience with this and would you
recommend this combination.

Also we couldn't find enough documentation on how to integrate BBB
with moodle. I would be gratefull if you could direct us to such a
source if there is any.

Thanks in advance
Regards

Hi guys,

There's a Moodle plugin that was build by a third party for the API for 0.64:
Unfortunately this doesn't work with the new 0.7 release. Since we've had a lot of people interested in a Moodle plugin, after we release 0.7 we're going to look into creating a official bbb supported Moodle plugin. For now, you can try using the above plugin if you're running 0.64.

I don't have any info on a release date. At least 3 weeks I would say, but could be longer.

The .64 moodle integration works well and is easy to setup, the
hardest part is figuring out how to customize your SALT, but that is
now well documented in the forums.

We are running it on a number of moodle sites without issue. If you
have any issues would be glad to help you. We also have setup inbound
conference numbers so people can join by phone.

Stephen

Stephen thank you very much for your interest.
We were able to install .64 on moodle.
If we face with any problems here on, we will be grateful for your
further help.

We are going to use Moodle 2.0, which will be released on July 20. Is
BBB .64 will work with Moodle 2.0? Is such a plugin in place?
We prefer to use Moodle 2.0 and BBB 0.7 if it's possible. How
difficult to modify the old plugin in order to hook up Moodle 2.0 and
BBB 0.7?
Thank you in advance

itservices, You need to modify your salt
http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_change_the_security_salt?
and then go to dualcode, com and download the bbb module for 1.9
moodle, they have the procedure documented in admin pdf.
http://dualcode.com/bigbluebutton/index.htm

its well documented.
