2.3-alpha7 bbb-html5.yml settings.yml override

/etc/bigbluebutton/bbb-html5.yml

does not exist after install. If you want to override the settings.yml should you create the bbb-html5.yml from a copy of settings.yml or can you just put the config you want to override? Docs are not clear on this.

Update:

The docs say:

Any setting in this file overrides the corresponding setting in /usr/share/meteor/bundle/programs/server/assets/app/config/settings.yml

Which makes sense to me now. However the file doesn't exist and when created/edited one, it did not do anything (i did systemctl restart bbb-html5)

Hi there,

I use /etc/bigbluebutton/bbb-html5.yml on several servers (starting with 2.3-alpha7)

This is a sample `/etc/bigbluebutton/bbb-html5.yml` to confirm it works:

public:

  app:

    html5ClientBuild: 123456789

When you restart bbb-html5 you should see this client build in the client -> three dot menu -> About

I tried with bigbluebutton ownership and root. I restarted with systemctl and created a meeting each time.

No changes.

Anything else I can try?

I think you need to be running 2.3-alpha8 for the override to work with settings.yml.
