BBB@Scale v1.0.0 Released

Hello everyone,

after introducing our project on this platform last month, we have officially released our code to the public. For those who haven't heard of us, we are BBB@Scale, an orchestration and administration platform for BigBlueButton servers. Our main motivation is to provide a solution for large-scale online learning scenarios.

Is BBB@Scale something like Greenlight and Scalelite combined? So which mean that with BBB@Scale, there is don't need to install Greenlight and Scalelite.

Thank you for sharing project with the community. I wonder where is the recording files located in your project. Like scalite is there any nfs sharing on a server or different architecture.

Hi,

This is a frontend that integrates with the BBB API. I'm not sure what
you mean by "API support". Also, I'm not sure why you'd integrated with
LMS when there are existing LMS tools available.

@matias, because it is working as loadbalancer and you will have to
route api calls throug this bbb@scale otherwise they won't go to the
correct server :-) same for lms.

Hey, 

no it does not use Scalite.

You simply add server in the frontend. If you have setup everything according to our getting started guide, the script picks up the health status of the servers and schedules meetings on the next server for given tenant.

At the moment the recordings feature does not work. Due to time reasons we decided to ship this full feature in one of the upcoming releases, since our setup is complicated and would delay our going live.

Thank you very much for sharing your great work. 

As a side note, for anyone needs a file sharing tool rather then nfs, you can check GlusterFS for small clusters (6-30) and CEPH for really big ones (30-5.000). 

I will also share my setup notes soon for GlusterFS and CEPH with Ansible.
