BigBlueButton 2.3.1 released

We are pleased to announce BigBlueButton 2.3.1!

This 2.3.x release includes multiple fixes and stability improvements, security related dependency updates (see Security section a few lines below), and overall improvements.

Note: Multiple parallel recording workers are not supported. The default is 1 worker. We are going to make some improvements to fix that in a follow-up.

Special thanks to all who have helped with providing feedback for 2.3.0 and also to pull request contributors @PhMemmel @hiroshisuga @mrkeksi !

Security related:
fix(security): Update sanitize-html package https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/pull/12296
We updated the Security policy in BigBlueButton to now list only 2.3.x as actively supported (and not 2.2.x) https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/blob/develop/SECURITY.md

Or, better yet, grab a Ubuntu 18.04 64-bit server and install the latest version yourself (it will take only a few minutes):

Is not possible to record multiple sessions at the same time any more?

Recording in parallel works, but they should be processed in sequence thereafter. 😉

 

Which, btw, might need a bigger announcement, after the COUNT= was introduced earlier in the BBB2.3 cycle.

Thank you Anton and Core team for brining 2.3 . 

I found issue on displaying presentation.

Reproduce the issue: 
1- Join with iPhone Xs as presenter 
2- Open camera 
3- Mange presentation > Take photo or upload a presentation 1280 x 720p  "Vertically" 
4- Confirm uploading 
Result: The presentation will cut and move to right side as picture attached.

If you don’t know what the COUNT is, you probably are not running multiple recording processing scripts at the moment anyway. 😉
