Chat Spam

Ok Hi  our school is using BigblueButton but there is a huge spam going on , in public chat and i want to know is there any solutions for that ? (and i dont want to disable public chat becuz some students dont have mics and they r  using public chat  )

are your students chatting or are there external users ...

My students are doing that when sth exciting happens. 

We dont want to kick them or ban them . 

i want like a cooldown or sth like that for chat

Enable private chat and disable public chat.

Private chat will allow student without mics to message the teacher. 

This works for me.

For K12 we recommend locking down Private Chat -- students can still private chat with the instructor, but not with each other.
