I'm curious if anyone has developed this yet?

I am looking for (and I will most likely create if it doesn't exist):

A php (or other) landing page/ join meeting page that will pull
scheduled/existing meetings from an MeetMe database on another
server. Then allow the user to join a conference by entering the
existing meetme conf id, password, and moderator password.

The embedded SIP application in BBB has to much delay, and we already
have existing asterisk conference servers that are dedicated to
conferencing, they use meetMe. This interface would allow us to use
that infrastructure.

The code would simply allow a user to enter the meetme conf id,
password, and moderator password. Look up existing meetings and create
and join the proper meeting. I know the sample app is pretty close and
I'll use that as basis if nothing is out there.

Any one develop this yet, would you share? Would anyone be interested
in this code if it doesn't already exist?

Thanks!

Hi nathana,

I think some folks would definitely be interested in a well-designed
PHP application for scheduling meetings, if you would like to take a
shot at building one.

We have already converted our .jsp API examples to PHP, see

http://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/tree/master/bbb-api-examples/PHP/

so you have some existing PHP to build on.

Fred,

I have created this application in Adobe Cold Fusion. We use that here
a lot for internal apps. So it was faster for me to do that than in
PHP. It could be easily converted to php or any other language.

This app looks up an existing meetme conference on our external
servers. If the conference exists it allows user to enter user name,
meeting room, pin. Creates and joins the user to the same conference,
and displays the dial in information in the chat window.

So basically the work flow works like this for us. Our people can
create a meetme conference. Send a link to the participants, and they
can join using the existing conference info. On BBB simply disabling
the audio module.

I'm not sure how/where to contribute this code. Send instructions if
you want it.

Thanks!

Nate
