Big Blue Button F5 Load Balancer Usage

Hi,

I searched BBB cluster with F5 load balancer implementation in the group but I can't find any message. How can I load balancing with F5 at BBB servers? I am using my load balancer software and scalelite but I want to use enterprise software for load balancing. Anyone use or implement F5 like LB solution on your site ?

Hello,

an external balancer does't add nothing for BBB enviroment. BBB is a standalone (inside one machine) instalation. You can't balance users for a same meeting in several BBB servers.

+1 with that !

On my side I'm using a HAProxy in front of 2 servers with scalelite + greenligth and it makes the load-balancer + failover system on, but not on BBB !

Thanks for your replies. If we use F5 maybe external Ip usage decrease and more stable load balancer between BBB servers. After implementation WebRTC Audio and Video UDP ports range on the every BBB instance will be a headache for us. We will not implement probably or make testing on demo installation.
