PDFs don't render properly if background image's transparency is changed at all

I use Canva.com to make PDF presentations. There is an option to change the transparency of a picture so that writing on the image is legible. If you have a PDF with slightly transparent pictures, it will load. However, if you have set an image to the background and change the transparency even by 1% it will not render properly in BBB. 

I have attached 2 files that include what it looks like in BBB and what it is supposed to look like when you open the PDF on your computer. File 1 is fine, but file 2 shows the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If anyone is having the same problem here is temporary solution.

1) Download your presentation pages as PNG image files

2) Upload them to a website like PDFcandy https://pdfcandy.com/png-to-pdf.html

3) Convert to PDF and download the new file

4) Upload to BBB room
