Is there a way to change the camera's mirror image, that I see of myself, and make it a direct image?

I teach a lecture/lab course, and I have to give demonstrations, and if I'm watching myself on the screen (so that I make sure nothing is done out of the line of sight of the students), it's very frustrating because my body is moving one direction, but on the screen it's the opposite.  I have spilled things, which is not good, and it's a bit disorienting to see everything backward.

Please help!

You could reverse the image with your webcams software, in case you have
a Logitech or another brand that allows that tweak

Maybe you can do it in linux with v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl vertical_flip=1
but it dependos on your camera

Hi, Thank you for your suggestion, but my camera puts out a direct image.  It's only when I'm in conferences, in BBB, that the mirror image happens.  It doesn't happen with Zoom or any other application, just BBB.

You could download OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and an OBS plugin called OBS-VirtualCam which makes OBS output as camera. OBS-VirtualCam has an option to mirror your camera.

Thanks... The mirror image is what I don't like.  I would like to figure out how to get rid of the mirror image when using BBB.  BBB is the only application that forces mirror image on it's users.  I would like to get rid of it.
