Sory , that write in this topic. Can not write in "BigBlueButton-setup".

I install BigBlueButton in Digitalocean cloud and it says :".Startup unsuccessful: could not connect to http://xxx/bigbluebutton/api"... 

I try  :

 ufw allow 22
ufw allow 5066
ufw allow 80
ufw allow 1935
ufw allow 9123
ufw enable 

and

 bbb-conf --setip xxx

resuli is the same

Hi,

Can you open port 8080 as well, it's necessary only on the loopback.

In fact, I would recommend temporarily disabling the firewall and then trying 

  sudo bbb-conf --clean

  sudo bbb-conf --check

and see if it successfully connects.  If not, then something else besides the firewall is at play.  If so, then it's the firewall.

Also, you need to ensure you run BigBlueButton on an instance with (at least) 4M of memory and 4 CPU cores.

Finally, running it on a VPS is good for testing, but not for production.  BigBlueButton is a real-time system, and, as such, in a virtual environment the CPU is not guaranteed to not be interrupted.
