Hello,

I would like to know if we can change the redirection URL of the logout button. Currently, when I logout from a bigbluebutton conference I'm automatically redirected to the BBB ip address.
Can we change that ?

Thanks, and sorry for my english.

Look at http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/API

You can change the default in bigbluebutton.properties or during the
create api command pass the logoutURL= parameter to set it for the one
meeting.

Hi Syed,

You can set any url as you need: logoutUrl = 'any eFont url'.

My BBB is integrated with efront too.

Here is what I did : sudo gedit /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF/classes/bigbluebutton.properties  -->   Bigbluebutton.web.logoutURL=http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of my efront server.

Hi.
There are two places where the bigbluebutton.properties is located.

/usr/share/red5/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF
/var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF/classes

I have made modifications to the file located at /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF/classes .
It was
successful.
Thank you all
.

Hi ALL,

about the logoutURL, I check the suggestion to change the "default" in bigbluebutton.properties (/var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF/classes/bigbluebutton.properties), on the line: bigbluebutton.web.logoutURL=default .
I would to change "default" with an html page, located on the webapps path. I try this test, but it's not working: at the logout, it's returned the BBB URL default.

Please, can You help me ?
Thanks.

Hi Mark,

Two points to check:

1.   You need to restart BigBlueButton for changes to bigbluebutton.properties to take effect.  Do

  sudo bbb-conf --restart

2.  If (1) does not work, check the API request that is creating the meeting to see if its passing a LogoutURL to the session.  If so, it will override the default logoutURL.  See

How are you accessing the meeting?

Regards,... Fred

Hi Fred,

I try the command: sudo bbb-conf --restart , but it's unsuccessful. The error message is:
... Startup unsuccessful: could not connect to http://my_IP/bigbluebutton/api

I think it happened because I'm using the development BBB and join the meeting with the development environment.  it's possible ?

Can you help me, please ?

Thanks.

Regards.

If you are in "development mode", bbb-conf --restart won't work because that restarts the "production" BBB. You need to manually start
bigbluebutton-web following the instructions in the wiki.

Hi Richard,

I change the IP address on line of the file: .../bigbluebutton.properties. The IP address is the
http://my_IP(BBB development)/test1.html (for one simple test).

I check the manuallt restart of BBB-web with command (it's correct) :
grails
-Dserver.port=8888 run-app

The simple test is a failure: when I disconect from the meeting, the redirect page was always the BBB stardard page.

Where do you think I'm wrong ? Suggestion ?

Thanks a lot,
Regards.
