BBB 2.3-rc1 - Change audio input/output not working in Firefox

Dear BBB-Team,

thank you for your really hard work and for the new version. My favorite feature is the ability to choose audio input/output directly in browser. This is working in Chrome, and Edge on MacOS and Windows, but unfortunately not in Firefox.

Clicking the "connect" button in Firefox (88.0) displays the input devices, but not the output devices . Also nothing happens  when you select a different input device The session still uses system's default device.

As I wrote, the same system, but Chrome or Edge, each device is displayed and can be selected.

Is this a general limitation of the firefox browser or do I have to change something in the configuration to make it work? I've tested FF (88.0) on two systems, both do the same...

If this is a Firefox issue  we should consider to hide these options for FF browsers for not confusing users. What do you think?

Thanks for the information. With " media.setSinkId.enabled " speakers are displayed and can be selected. No difference to input devices, no matter what you select, it changes nothing. We should really consider hiding these input/output options for firefox in general until a solution is found that may have to come from Mozilla developers.

If possible, I recommend checking again whether input switching is working with FF in RC-2.

I can confirm that the input switching is now working with FF 88 in BBB 2.3-RC2. I've tested it on macOS and Windows.
