Hi,

I have activated the "podcast" format so that BBB creates audiofiles from recorded interviews.
I want to have these audio files picked up and run through a Dutch LLM transcriber.
Which is the right phase in the workflow to pick up the audio files and where do I find them?
I find all the directories and files created during the workflow a little confusing.
Is a postscript the best way to pick up audio files for further processing?
Or would that have to be something more generic like a cronjob?

One detail that might matter: in our configuration, we are trying to expose the recordings as little as possible. So the status might be something along the lines of "unpublished" or "protected". Is it true that it depends on the visibility setting of the recording which files are created at all and where they are placed?

Thank you for your attention!
Kind regards, Carsten

Hi,

your best bet is to make a ruby/bash/etc script and have BBB execute it after the the whole workflow has been processed (see https://docs.bigbluebutton.org/development/recording/#writing-post-scripts).
Yes, trying to understand the included workflow can be confusing at the beginning, but it's doable.
Can't really understand what you mean by "visibility setting". Are you referring to Greenlight?

Regards,
J.

Hi Jean,
Thank you for your answer. Yes, indeed "visibility settings" maybe a Greenlight term.
I have asked another question about this in the users list:
I feel that not all the effects of these settings are explicitly documented.

I expect that it depends on the "published, protected ..." settings what the right postscript is to pick up the files.
So any explanation or a pointer to an explanation is still welcome.
