I'm an Educator and owner of Statewide ISP/Digital Phone Company that
stumbled upon BigBlueButton a few months ago., I plan on utilizing it
for some of my classes, and collaboration with some business
customers. I see real potential in this project.

It is well documented and the team at Blindside Networks seem to have
done a good job structuring the project to succeed in the open-source
world.

We currently provide business hosting in our data center and I have
tasked a few employees/students along with myself to become educated
in the installation and maintainence of All things BigBlueButtom.

It will be a good learning experience for them. Will be offering
dedicated hosting and toll-free and local US/Can conference numbers
configured for BigBlueButton.

Dedicated VM Hosting will start at just $50 month, and conference
numbers at $10 month. We are in the process of deploying a rack
dedicated for BigBlueButton this month.

We will also commit a portion of hosting revenue back to the
BigBlueButton Project to help accelerate the development of new
features.

Is there a way to have a "status" page of sorts where a list of
participants can be listed without having to log into the web client?

It would perhaps also be good to provide a per-hour usage charge instead of a monthly fee. I use BBB in my business and you're competing with hosting on, say, Amazon EC2 where I pay an hourly usage charge ($0.10 per hour). Given the cyclic nature of training, I'd much rather pay for the hours I use than a fee for a month where I make no use of the service.

If you were to take care of the installation and upgrading of the software, the voice bridges (with PSTN access), etc. then I would be willing to pay more than the current $0.10 per hour. But I'd be unwilling to pay for months when I'm not using the system.
