Changes not applying on bigbluebutton Config.xml file

Hello everyone!

I have updated the default layout name in the file /var/www/bigbluebutton/client/conf/config.xml.

After that I have restarted BBB but changes not showing on the Live site.

Frontend used: Greenlight 2.2.5

Layout Used: bbb.layout.name.presentfocus

Purpose of that layout is to hide the public chat window by default.

Please guide me how to applied the changes in bigbluebutton.

Hi,

The config.xml only applies to the Flash client, which we've not done any Flash development now for over a year.  If you want to make changes to the HTML5 client, see 

 http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/2.2/customize.html

and

 http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/2.2/dev.html

It should work , Because I did same for a client and it works perfectly. I tried on AWS before and it didnt work but it works on Azure. So think  of changing the server see

Moreover   Layout Used: bbb.layout.name.presentfocus have noting to do with the front end used.

I am also looking to hide the public chat option by default but couldn't find a way. Is there any setting for it that I can use?
