Hi Team,

I was wondering whether can i downgrade my Bigbluebutton version from 2.2 beta 17 to stable version 2.0 release..?

You can uninstall the packages that are prefixed by bbb-*, then follow the installation steps here



Can you share with us why you want to move off of BigBlueButton 2.2-beta?  What is missing in 2.2-beta that is causing you to go back to 2.0?

Hi fred,
 
We decided to go back to 2.0, because since we using the beta version we always find sounds that suddenly disappear. Which we have never found in version 2.0.
I am not sure whether it's because version 2.2 is the beta version or else. But what we experienced version 2.0 is more stable than it is 2.2..

Please advice, whether we make a right decission or not ?

I know there is a reported issue with people who are on listen only having issues with disconnecting, but the guys will be able to explain further.

We are adding logic to automatically reconnect the user if their Listen Only audio drops, see


This should land in the next update to BigBlueButton 2.2-beta.  After we release the next version, try it again and let us know if your users have a better experience when joined Listen Only.

I'm confused, Widi. In your other post it was the implied that the problem was with the microphone feed from the
speaker. Is that the case or is it related to listen only? Just so I know what to go after.

Yes that is the case... While we are in discussion, suddenly one of the participants only can hear but we cannot hear his voice.
And i have another report from the user that they sometimes receive error 107.  What is the meaning that error?

If they get a 1007 audio error it means that there was an issue with the UDP connection to the server (audio packets couldn't be sent or received). If the error shows before they've successfully connected then the ports might be blocked. If the error shows up after the connection has been established then it could be a temporary network interruption, firewall block, or other network rule.

also i must downgrading version from 2.2 beta 19 to lower. because older version was work on smart tv but newest version do not support. i will downgrade and waiting for you until fix this problem. :(

 yes, i tested on demo.bigbluebutton and test.bigbluebuttom also. but not working. my tv is samsung smart tv. older version was worked.

also not working on samsung mobile phone web browser, but working on chrome on mobile phone. print screen of samsung smart tv with attach. regards.

You should be able to edit /usr/share/meteor/bundle/programs/server/assets/app/config/settings.yml and at the end of the file add the following:

    - browser: samsungInternet
      version: 2

Make sure to follow the same indentation as the other browser definitions.

Once the settings are edited, restart the HTML5 client. "systemctl restart bbb-html5"

The indentation is off in that picture. The spaces at the start of the line are very important and everything needs to line up. What likely happened is that the HTML5 code tried to start up and choked trying to parse settings.yml.
