Hi,

I have used html5client for many months for some classes with almost 70 people. It is more appealing than flash client before  because people can join the class with mobile now. Almost 70% our user join from mobile devices.

I want to change redirect link in html5client "help" menu on the top right corner.

Now if user click the menu item it will be redirected to https://bigbluebutton.org/videos/ .

I want to change it to my help site, for example https://xyz.com/help

How is it possible ?

Thank you.

Cheers,
Iyan

I've opened an issue to get this changed to a property in the configuration file https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/issues/6029.

I don't know if anything can be done before the 2.0 release or not though.

Hi Fred,

Thank you for the good product. We have better experience dealing with html5 client especially after upgrade to RC4. The problem with the recording sometimes not complete video in the earlier release so far can be solved.

Some user have difficulties because they use native browser from the mobile phone vendors.Even they have difficulties when using mozilla browser, especially for sharing camera.  It solved by  educating user to use only chrome browser in desktop and mobile.

We ask user to click "listen only" when the first time they sign in so the sound will not disturb each other. It will be great if we can direct user to listen only for the first signing in as in the flash client, maybe in the future release.

So far it is better experience, when we can attract more user to join the class with the mobile device capabilities.

Thank you.

Cheers,
Iyan

Hi Iyan,

Thanks for the feedback.

Nice.  We released RC5 with some further improvements in HTML5 audio and video.

Yes, with Android you want to use the Chrome browser. With iOS, you want users to use Safari (only Safari on iOS supports WebRTC).

Have you configured your BigBlueButton server to have viewers join as listen only by default?

That's the goal :-).
