Hi teem,

i just installed the bbb version 2.2.14 for testing and when i share a video from vimeo the message is this:

"start the video to enable media sync"

in the bbb server production version 2.2.8 the sharing video it works correctly.

do you have any ideas about why it happens?

The browsers have controls to prevent auto-playing of videos. If BigBlueButton detects it needs permission, it will prompt the viewer to click to start playing the video. Thereafter it should sync with the presenter.

Hi Fred,

I've got a similar problem: while it's working with youtube it doesn't show the control bar on vimeo so i'ts quite difficult to start the video. It shows just the thumbnail.

The only way I found to start it s to right click, ask fo PiP, start the video and going back to full screen. The video was the playing but still with no way to conttrol it.

And does this means any listener should start his own video?

Hi Fred,

I have updated the test server to version 2.2.16, but the problem is the same,doesn't show the control bar on vimeo, in attachment the screenshot of the server in production 2.2.8 that works correctly with the updated version 2.2.16. Same browser (google chrome) and video vimeo.

What could be the problem?
