We are pleased to announce BigBlueButton 2.6.0-rc.9!

We would like to encourage members from the BigBlueButton community to try this release candidate and give feedback in this thread (positive feedback or reports of issues encountered)

This release candidate iteration of BigBlueButton 2.6 contains mostly fixes to the client, including improvements to the display of the polling results and recovering the ability for viewers to set their desired layout. The full list of changes is below.

We are transitioning to the new (docusaurus) docs.
We are not going to be making further changes to the old docs. The old docs will be retiring shortly!

Also the video format for recording is now feature complete and is undergoing testing. Please give it a try and report any possible issues you encounter.

Note that BBB 2.6 runs on Ubuntu Focal (20.04)

BigBlueButton 2.6-dev is under active development. While we don’t recommend setting it up in a
production environment, we do encourage administrators to try out the build with others
and give us feedback on our bigbluebutton-dev mailing list.
