Screen sharing with audio not connecting

Hello,

I’m trying to share my screen with audio, but I’m running into an issue.

I’ve tested this using Google Chrome on both Windows and macOS. When I do not enable the “Share audio” option, everything works as expected: the screen, tab, or application is shared correctly.

However, as soon as I enable “Share audio”, Chrome indicates that the screen is being shared, but the stream never successfully connects in BigBlueButton.

I’ve tested this behavior on BBB 3.0.15 and BBB 3.1.0 beta 2, with the same result.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? If so, is there a known workaround or configuration change that could resolve it?

Hi!

This got fixed in BBB 3.0.18.

"This BigBlueButton 3.0 iteration includes a fix for screenshare, specifically Chrome 143 screenshare of Tab. Without this [bbb-webrtc-sfu] fix, the presenter will not be able to share any tab of the browser (new since version 143 on Chrome)."
