I am sending an avatarUrl with the join API call, and I have changed the config XML to allow avatars. I can see the BBB server making a request to get the avatar image and the request succeeds. But no avatar.

Is there a specific file type or dimensions needed for avatars to show?

Thanks.

It appears avatar images are retrieved and displayed correctly if the avatar URL sent to BBB is http but not if https. Can anyone confirm that avatar URLs must be http?

The video module just takes whatever URL of the avatar is. It doesn't distinguish between https or http.

I believe the avatar has to be PNG.

Thanks.
