Hi, Fred.

I'm really in trouble.
I installed RC3 bbb two weeks ago and installed the html5 interface.
All functions worked correctly for two days (I'm talking about html5), but two days later I catch # Error: can't connect to port 1935 (RTMP).
I didn't do anything with the server. It happened on its own.

And now I can not connect the sound and microphone, I catch error 1006.
I'm trying to do it https://groups.google.com/forum/#!theme / bigbluebutton-setup / 2Qy1FBi8ZaM but it does not help.

How to fix this error?

The error about not being able to connect to 1935 usually means that the port is being blocked. When you load up the Flash client do you see "Tunnelling.." in the bottom right corner?

Getting a 1006 error with audio is very uncommon. We only saw this happen years ago with Firefox 33-beta on Mac and it cleared up in Firefox 34. I think the problem back then was that the websocket connected, but no messages were exchanged between the client and the server. I was never able to figure out the root cause of the problem.

Could you try running:
bbb-conf --clean
bbb-conf --check

To see if either problem clears up. If the audio problem is still happening I'd like to see a the browser console log after a failed attempt at connecting to the audio in the Flash client please.

Hello Chad. Good to see you.
In my Flash client sounds works great, all right. Now I use Flash for webinars.
Problem detected only in html5 client.
This is my browser console log (Firefox).

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server  wss://webinar.implant.ru/ws.               c4a7b47ee18159c8ed8e503568d66b16551f1ffe.js:147:1109966

I see this error after I catch 1006 error in BBB.

What is it?

I just tried to connect to audio on your server with the Flash client and then with the HTML5 client one time I got a "1010 ICE negotiation timeout" and the other I got "1007 ICE negotiation failed". When I look in the console I can see that the candidate being sent to the clients is a private IP (10.10.50.X). Users on the same local network might be able to connect to audio, but no one else will be able to. I think you need to follow these steps to change FreeSWITCH to use your public IP (http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/install/install.html#configuring-bigbluebutton-behind-a-firewall). You might also need the dummy NIC part in the section after also.

Hello Chad.
I set up FreeSWITCH to use a public IP and set up a dummy NIC. All BBB functions now work correctly. Sounds great.
But about 1 in 100 users get error 1007 and can't connect sound .Other users connect without problems.

Why is this happening?
How to fix?

It's probably because they are behind a firewall that is preventing UDP connections.  When this happens, ask them to use FireFox and, after they get the error, open a new tab and type

  about:webrtc

Click the first Show Details link and FireFox will show all the remote candidates (IP addresses plus ports) that it tried (and failed) to connect.  This won't solve the problem, but will give you more insight into where the browser tried to connect before it failed.  If you post the results to a new thread, we'll try and help you diagnose.

Regards,... Fred

Hi,

I set up FreeSWITCH to use a public IP and set up a dummy NIC.

Internal users have no problems with WebRTC connection using, mydomain.com/check/

External users still got problems with WebRTC --->  1002 error.

But i have some another configuration and maybe this is a problem?

I configured my firewall to route ports 1935 tcp, 7443 tcp and 16384-32768 udp directly to my bbb server but 80/443 tcp ports are firstly routed to my main Web Server then i use proxy to BBB Server.  Is this configuration making problems with WebRTC connection?

i also very hard checked logs of firewall and noticed that 443 and 1935 connections appear from external connection but no UDP connection comming to firewall...

I pretty sure that firewall not blocking UDP connections because i did test with netcat from external user to bbb server which you described in BBB installation page.

I use latest version of BBB.

Greetings,

Dominik

Hi Dominik,

It sounds like FreeSWITCH may not be binding to the external IP address.  See

And let us know if that gets you going.

P.S.  In the future, start a new thread as it's harder for us to solve two problems in the same thread.

Hi,
Double checked. Everything i did like in description.

But i noticed when i type:

netstat -tlnp | grep 7443

i got:

tcp        0      0 192.168.3.37:7443       0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      17807/freeswitch
tcp6       0      0 ::1:7443                :::*                    LISTEN      17807/freeswitch

Shouldn't i have external ip address there?

Greetings,

Dominik

Adn there is comming another question.
If i have to add EXTERNAL_IP:7443  what should i add in the firewall? Because now i have all incoming connections from port 7443  routed to  192.168.3.37:7443

Hi,

I added dummy NIC and changed in /opt/freeswitch/conf/sip_profiles/external.xml

<param name="wss-binding"  value="EXTERNAL_IP_ADDRESS:7443"/> now when i type netstat -tlnp | grep 7443 i can see my external_ip:7443 i also noticed very high CPU usage by tomcat7 (91%) and red5 (60%) procesess… BBB+ proccess using (19%)
