I just tested BBB on the ipad app "iswifter" -- a flash-based browser
in apple app store, and it worked relatively well as a "viewing"
device (using
mconf.org). Here's the assessment:
Video stream: working.
Audio stream: working.
Presentation window: working. Latency was relatively low seeing the
pointer.
Chat box: can view, but tapping to enter text does not bring up the
ipad keyboard.
I didn't test with multiple video streams -- just one, but it looks
like it's a decent viewing device in it's current form. However, no
access to interactivity.
From the app development I've done, and what I've read online, I'm
guessing a BBB ipad app is very doable - as I've seen mentioned in
other posts on the forum.
For anyone who has an apple development membership (needed for device
testing) -- I'm guessing one place to start would be to create a
simple flash package in Flash Builder -- calling the remote client
bbb.swf and see how the the package is interpreted on the ipad.

Based on what I've seen iswifter, this may be worth looking into.
IOS support, I believe, would really expand the adoption base for
BBB. I know it's definitely coloring my decisions in using BBB as a
primary package for distance learning.
I'm curious to hear what other testing has already been done by BBB
developers.
