I installed 2.2.0-beta5 (877) to test HTML5 client.  Demo using HTML5 client worked really well from various devices.

I then installed Greenlight and HTML5 client continued to work.  But at some point I must have done something, because now, using either the demo or Greenlight,, after sharing the microphone, when I try to share the webcam, I get a popup error message "error 2200 media server failed to process request".  I have not seen this before. Current test from Win 10/Chrome and Firefox.

Any suggestions on how to fix?

   Jim

Hi,

Can you try doing

  sudo systemctl restart bbb-webrtc-sfu

and try sharing your webcam again.

Regards,... Fred

Fred, That fixed it. Thanks very much. I will put that in our bag of tricks if it happens again.

We had tried HTML5 last year but had problems.  This version is really good and we definitely will be able to use it for our online language school.  The student does not have to get certain plugins or do other technical things, plus it works well on iOS and Android devices.  Though we are used to higher definition video, we understand you will be working on video profiles in the future.  But honestly, when using the multi-user whiteboard, shared notes and/or public chat, a large video window is not needed and the current resolution is perfectly fine.

We are very happy with your HTML5 Client.  Thanks to the entire BigBlueButton team for all the hard work to make this happen.

Hi Jim,

> This version is really good and we definitely will be able to use it for our online language school.

Thanks for the feedback.  We just released an update (2.2-beta-6) which should see bbb-webrtc-sfu starting up properly this time.

Recommend you update to this latest version as we've done some further improvements in the stability of the video.  Let us know if you encounter any issues with the upgrade.

Regards,... Fred
