Announcing BigBlueButton World 2022 conference

Hi Everyone,

The BigBlueButton project is proud to announce its second virtual BigBlueButtonWorld 2022 conference, which will be held online (using BigBlueButton of course!) from July 18th - July 21st, 2022.

This year’s conference theme is Hope Through Education, which aims to showcase the importance of education and educators from around the world, explore how education is shifting in the online environment, share examples of how education is raising communities (and countries), and host discussions about the future of virtual classrooms.  

BigBlueButton's vision is to improve education for everyone. We are working towards that vision by creating the next generation of virtual classrooms using BigBlueButton, and, as we've done for 14 years, make it freely available to everyone under an open source license.

Joining us will be a speaker from UNESCO, educators from around the world, and representatives from some of the world’s leading educational research institutions.  The event will run from 11am - 2pm ET (GMT-4), Monday through Thursday. 

We'd like to invite you to submit proposals for how you are improving BigBlueButton in the areas of development, administration, and support of its global ecosystem.  

The deadline for proposal submission is June 24th at 11:59 PM ET.  Presentations should be 25 minutes in length.  Accepted proposals will be announced on June 30th.  If you are submitting a proposal related to a commercial company, that company must be in good standing with regards to use of BigBlueButton's trademark and open source license.
