updating settings.yml (for HTML5 version of bigbluebutton)

Hello,

I'm looking to update a few settings in settings.yml (from path: usr/share/meteor/bundle/programs/server/assets/apps/config/):

1. enableNetworkInformation: true

2. enableVideoStats: true

I remember the flash version of BBB showing a button in the virtual classroom to view networking information.  Will this do the same thing in the HTML5 version?

Also, to activate the changes, do I execute the following command?

sudo bbb-conf --restart

I wouldn't recommend enabling the network information right now. It's not super reliable and I would consider it more of an alpha or proof of concept rather than something to use. It only works if there's webcams going and I'm not really 100% sold on the thresholds that are set right now.

The video stats will add another option to the menu that's in the bottom left corner of each webcam.

To apply the changes you restart all of BigBlueButton with "bbb-conf --restart" or "bbb-conf --clean", or just the HTML5 service with "systemctl restart bbb-html5".
