Greenlight favicon.ico - can I change this?

Hello,

I'm running greenlight via ruby on rails.  The favicon.ico in the tab is showing the bbb logo.  Can I change this?

So far, I've updated the following files with no success...

favicon.ico

location:  [dev folder]/grenlight/public/favicon.ico

favicon.png

location: /var/www/bigbluebutton-default/images/favicon.png

I even tried to modify "bbb_logo.png" to see if the change would show online (no success)...

location: [dev folder]/greenlight/app/assets/images/bbb_logo.png

note:  I restarted the rails server and went as far as restarting bbb with "bbb-conf -- restart"

Did I miss any steps or not changing the right file?

Hi Carl,

If you are trying to change the bbb icon that is always in the top left, I believe the correct files are:

[dev folder]/greenlight/app/assets/images/logo_with_text.png

[dev folder]/greenlight/public/assets/logo_with_text-<some number>.png

Will this also modify the logo in the tab of the web browser?  The one I'm trying to change has no text next to the button.  It's just the logo with a 'b' in it.

Oh, you meant the tab, sorry about that. In that case favicon.ico should be correct.

Just keep in mind that in order to see the changes to the tab icon, you'll need to clear the browser cache before any changes can be seen.
