Hello,
I am a French student. I must develop the BBB interface of Zimbra. I
started and used Zimlet, so I integrate the demo page of the server in
an iframe. But with the constraints of increased privacy, and that
only the users mailbox can create a conference, but it is open anyone,
if the creator decides to invite him.
But how do you think I should do this with the API (http://
code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/API) or a module BBB (http://
code.google.com/p / bigbluebutton / wiki / SampleModule)?
Thank you for your attention!

Best regards,

Rémi

Hi Rémi,

You definitely want to use the BigBlueButton API for integrating with
Zimbra. The best way to start is to look through the API examples
provided with BigBlueButton, which you can find on-line on our demo
server at:

http://demo.bigbluebutton.org/bigbluebutton/demo/demo1.jsp

These examples demonstrate how to use the BigBlueButton API. Next,
you want to look at how some existing integrations apply the API. You
can find source for the integrations with Joomal, Wordpress, and
Moodle at

https://github.com/blindsidenetworks/bigbluebutton-integrations

Okay, I think that I use BBB API, but I'm Stupid and I have change
index.html in /var/www/bigbluebutton-default. After I have restarted
and I'am always on the demo page? Is it normal?

Best regards,

Rémi

Hi Rémi,

Your not stupid ... you just haven't giving yourself time to read
through the documentation and understand how BigBlueButton works.
Slow down ... if it was working for you when you started, and you made
a change to index.html, and then it stopped working, the back up and
undo the change.

You want to take time and understand how all the pieces work together.
Start with the overview of the architecture

http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/ArchitectureOverview

and go through the steps to setup your development environment

http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/DevelopingBBB

There are a lot of configuration files in BigBlueButton, you'll want
to spend some time going through them

http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/ConfigurationFiles

If you've invested your time in understanding how BigBlueButton works,
and then you hit a problem you can't solve, let us know. We'll invest
our time in helping you.

If you don't invest your time ... it's really hard to ask us to invest ours.

Regards,... Fred
