Meetings will not save audio unless the record button is pressed. Why?

Hi everyone!

Every now and then I need to recover a recording from a meeting done a few days ago. There are two reasons to do this:

1. Moderators did not record the desired part. For example, they recorded only the beginning and then stopped the recording by mistake or whatever...
2. Moderators completely forgot to press the record button.

I have no problem fixing the 1 scenario. I remove the recordings events of events.xml and do the --rebuild.

However, I can't fix the 2 scenario. Because the audio file is missing. While searching through the file system, I realised that the audio file (usually *.opus) is missing on the route that is supposed to be: /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw/<meeting-id>/audio

I'm on BigBlueButton Server 3.0.12 (2825) and I'm confused because in previous versions of BBB I could do this without any problem.

I think there must be a setting for this, but I can't find it in this forum or in the documentation. Any ideas?? :)

Best regards,
Héctor.

Hello again!!

I just found the setting by digging into the forum :)

1. Add:
recordFullDurationMedia=true

To file:
/etc/bigbluebutton/bbb-web.properties

2. Restart config:
bbb-conf --restart

That's it!

Thanks Stephen :)
