Upload presentation fails

Hi!

I'm having troubles uploading some .pptx as presentation in 2.0 RC11 html5 and test.bigbluebutton.org

Sometimes fails when uploading with "Ops, something went wrong" other times pass trough the upload but doesn't convert certain items as arrows and boxes.

what is this validation that fails exactly?

Hello Leonardo,

This file embeds two emf files. If at least one emf file is found inside the pptx archive the document conversion will fail. emf files could not be processed by the POI library. A recent update to Apache POI handle emf files, we need to check if it covers our case in if we use the latest version.

Is there an easy way to display a custom error message in BBB when this fail happens?

Ghazi got to this one before me. :)

I agree that the message presented to the user isn't a helpful one. I had actually opened up an issue about this a month ago https://github.com/bigbluebutton/bigbluebutton/issues/6611, but I don't know if we'll get to it for 2.2. To do it properly would require new messaging to the client and new locale strings.
