Hi everyone,
The 23rd BigBlueButton Developer Summit will be held in Vienna, Austria, November 23–27, 2026.
Our developer summits bring together the core designers and developers of BigBlueButton for a week of collaborating, coding, and moving the project forward.
The 23rd BigBlueButton Developer Summit will be held in Vienna, Austria, November 23–27, 2026.
Our developer summits bring together the core designers and developers of BigBlueButton for a week of collaborating, coding, and moving the project forward.
As in previous years, we welcome anyone in the BigBlueButton community who wants to help accelerate the project. If you've never attended, it's the fastest way to get to know the core team, get a contribution merged, and experience the teamwork at a summit.

It's been a busy year: we're up to BigBlueButton 3.0.37 and closing in on the release of BigBlueButton 4.0. Likely projects for the week include:
- Planning BigBlueButton 4.1
- Using AI agents for load testing, regression testing, and security review
- Kubernetes deployment of BigBlueButton
- Building more pedagogical plugins for active learning
- Extending BigBlueButton as a sovereign platform for Europe
- Scaling BigBlueButton to 1,000 users

The summit is hosted by think modular, a long-time contributor to BigBlueButton that offers BigBlueButton services across the DACH region and beyond.
