Hi,

Could someone please point me to the file that has the host configuration for greenlight ?

I am running without docker and did find it, but for the life of me I cant remember what the filename or path was as I have changed URL's

Many thanks for all your help :)

Hi Paul,

Look for an file called 'env'.  In a standard installation it's in ~/greenlight/env

Hi,

the file I am looking for is the one that lets you change the hostname of the serer for greenlight.

If you recall when you helped before the server showed the host to be the old domain and then I found a file which let me change it to the correct new domain?

as the .env file does not apply changes when not running greenlight in a docker

cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,

According to the docs, it is the .env file

Try this: purposefully create an error in the .env file, such as renaming BIGBLUEBUTTON_ENDPOINT to BIGBLUEBUTTON_ENDPOINT-XX and then try restarting GreenLight.

Does GreenLight throw an error on startup?  If not, then it's using a different configuration file.  If so, then you should be able to have a HTTPS endpoint, such as

BIGBLUEBUTTON_ENDPOINT=https://<hostname_name>/bigbluebutton/

for GreenLight to use HTTPS instead of HTTP.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but it does not have any effect on the greenlight or system running.

What do you mean by "If so, then you should be able to have a HTTPS endpoint, such as

BIGBLUEBUTTON_ENDPOINT=https://<hostname_name>/bigbluebutton/

for GreenLight to use HTTPS instead of HTTP.
"
where would that go if the .env file is not the configurations file?

Also just to be a pain as you have the log in details for the server, would you be able to take a peek to let me know what file is the configuration file thats in use ?

Kind regards
Paul
