The license is GPL, so if your software meets the needs of GPL there is
no problem. Right now the code basis on Google Code is not up to date
with the version in the AppStore. I did not yet finally decide which way
to go with this project, but for the moment I am focusing on the
AppStore version.

Indeed the development of PhoneGap and LiquidGear is going faster than
the one of Big5. I certainly will consider to join efforts. I'll keep
you updated on this list.
Right now new versions of Big5 are in review for the AppStore. Since
this always takes about a week or two on the side of Apple there is
always a kind of time shift between the development and the releases.
