I'm impressed with the tour that is planned by the 5280 group from Denver; I've copied, below, the itinerary that Kathy received from Kristan of 5280 MINIs. I am planning to join for part of the day: Sunday June 2nd, enroute from Billings to Butte for lunch. Then I'll return home that same day to Billings. Any other takers for the day event idea, if more doesn't work for you?
I am also thinking about trying to catch their caravan on June 1st, as they near Billings, East of Billings a few miles out (?) as an escort .... sort of. If my Classic 62 is running ok, which it should be, I'll use it, so then that might be just a hi as they fly by, and I'll catch up when they arrive at the Billings Hotel & Convention Center on Mullowney Lane. :)
For the drive to Butte on June 2nd, I will be using our Lily, 2005 Purple Haze MINI. Leaving: Billings, 8:30am that morning for Bozeman, Butte, Missoula, Spokane. Again, I'm turning around at Butte, and sending them on their way toward the west coast.
I've been in contact with Kristan and Rick who are making the tour in their cars. Rick has some Magnetic Badges as was mentioned on another post. And T-shirts are also available, again info on another post. I'm getting one of the Magnetic Badges.

Mini 5280 Northwest Tour

We have set up blocks of rooms at each of the locations below. You will have to call now and get your own room set up, if you wish to stay with us. You need to call the specific person on the list and ask for Mini Cooper Car Club or Mini 5280 Car Club. You need to call in the next week or so. If you make other arrangements, please let Stacey Brown know at bc3...@gmail.com so she can cancel block rooms. Our goal was to get affordable, clean accommodations rather than 5 star accommodations. Leave Coos Bay Area by 3:30 pm for a trip over to Eugene, OR (118 miles on 101 and 38)
