Dear Big Sky MINIs members,
Heather Miller, Mel Rivnie and I started Big Sky MINIs in 2008. We had our first rally that summer on the Beartooth Highway. Since then, it has grown well and continues to grow as the MINI population increases in the state. (Perhaps one day we'll even have a dealership in our state!)
We've done a few rallies and enjoyed a few motoring trips around the state - some of which were planned by us, while most were planned by our other members. I'd like to encourage all of you not to hesitate in proposing an idea for a drive and organizing it.
In the summer of 2010 I moved to Southern California for an intense year of grad school. I had to leave my beloved Argyll in storage in Montana. I intended to then move him to where-ever I ended up getting a job at, but due to conflicts of timing I had to keep him in storage for another year. Last month I was finally able to get back to Bozeman and get him out for some quality motoring through Yellowstone. And since, I have moved him to Illinois where I currently live (Chicago area if any of you head out here on vacation some time). This past weekend while Russ and others were smashing grapes for wine, I took Argyll to Shades and Turkey Run State Park in Indiana on a camping trip. Here Argyll got his first trip through a covered bridge (a highlight for him I think). (see picture).
Since I no longer reside in Montana I will continue to host the website and update it. I know I have neglected that in the past and have been very slow at doing any updates, but I will make an effort to stay on top of that in the future. I'd like to request that you email me any details of any motoring trips that you go on and would like to include on the website and I'll make sure to put them on there. I can be reached at aorr [[at]]
mac.com Put "Big Sky MINIs" in the subject line if I don't already have your email address.
Also, I'm fairly sure Bill Clem still has some of the unique and beautifully crafted motoring badges to show off on your MINIs. I get so many great comments on mine! Details here:

I hope the group continues to grow and more and more discussion takes place. I miss motoring with you guys and wish you all the best.
