My wife bought us our 1st Mini in July from her father who happens to be a local car salesman and it is everything we thought it would be since we first laid eyes on them years ago.  We have taken it to the Big Horn Mountains in WY, as well as Big Sky Resort.  It is 2005 Classic Mini, Chili Red with a white hardtop.  My wife says she has lost me to a car but I can't help myself.  Anyway, we would like to motor up with other local Mini owners and have contacted the previous president of Big Sky Minis, who has sinced moved to Chicago, IL.

If there are any upcoming Mini motoring events in Montana, we would greatly appreciate being included in the loop.  Thanks for everything and thanks BMW and John Cooper for creating such a great vehicle.

Welcome to MINI world. Glad to hear about your new love. I've been thinking about an early fall cruise around Billings area. Is Sunday afternoon, Sept 9, too soon? Route to be agreed upon. Others ready to cruise too?

Thanks Russ for getting us into the motoring loop; I will speak with my wife but this sounds great to me.  Let us know the details and we will be there.  Thanks.

Hi Stuart
We just traded our '09 MINI Hardtop S for a new Coupe S.  It was WAY fun to drive it home to Montana from Tacoma.  We live in the NW part of of the state and are interested in motoring with other owners too.

I have been on this group for the past year and have been silent just reading what is going on.   I have a 2012 Countryman and have waiting to join in on one of the drives around the area.  I live in Billings too.  Russ you put one of your cards on my car at the European Car show last weekend.  I'm interested in joining a cruise but this Sunday the 9th does not work for me.

Hope I can catch you all on another drive

Cindy

When we first got our mini, my wife made contact with one of the previous members of the Big Sky Minis who had since moved to Chicago; I believe he may have been the president of the club but I'm not sure; in any regards, we wanted to connect with other mini owners, as we love the MIni's style, looks, and performance since they were first introduced to the US and thought it may be a good way to share some motoring time and get some time away from our kids, though we do love our kids deeply.

How do you like the look of the new Mini?  Did Mini change anything else about it?  It looks great!  Here is our Mini that we took to the Big Horn Mountains on our wedding anniversary.

Let's meet Sunday, the 9th, 1:30 pm at Dairy Queen on the West end off King&32nd. Since this is a first in a couple years, we can decide the direction and time at that Time.

Cindy. Nice to hear from you. The euro show was great. Sorry Sunday will not work. Fall is a great time to drive. We will certainly try another time or more again this fall.

You should get some response from owners on your side of the state. Especially Missoula & Hamilton?

Ok great,
See you then.  My wife and I have discussed three or four drive options.  We'll decide when we all get together the the DQ off 32nd & King at 1:30pm today.

It was a great drive today. River route. Buffalo Trail. Molt. Yellowstone Valley view. And top quality wine at Yelowstone Cellars winery.

Let's plan for Sept 29th. 10am to about 12am. Ending at Yellowstone winery. The grape stomp happens at the Winery till 5pm. What great fun. Opportunity to crush grapes. See YellowstoneCellars.com for grape crush info. We will leave again from Dairy Queen @ 32nd. & King at 10 am with an exciting route in the region planned. See you then. Who is coming along?

Again it was a great drive.  Couldn't figure out how to upload via new android phone, so this second  post for the photo at Molt.  If you haven't eaten breakfast on a Saturday morning at this Molt restaurant and, if you haven't had a wine at the premier winery in Montana (YellowstoneCellars.com) you haven't lived!    Keep on motoring Montana!
