Hi again,
As soon as I get a chance with some photos, I'll show a little of the Fall Foilage and Grape Stomp drive we had yesterday. We had four cars including one classic. But on to the subject of the next drive: Betty and I have looked at our calendar, and considering that cooler weather is definitely predicted in the next few days, we are thinking sooner than later is the best plan.
After discussing with those we met at the Grape Stomp (2 additional MINI owners found our group), a drive from Billings, to Joliet, to Columbus, to Absarokee, to Red Lodge, a stop at the Red Lodge Brewing Co. for a beverage of preference and food of preference, and return to Billings was proposed and it sounds like something several would enjoy. This route covers part of the foothills road used for the MOTB (MINIs On the Bear Tooth) (almost annual) drive.
So, the dates proposed are either October 13th, 2012 (Saturday) or October 14th, 2012 (Sunday). And the time for departure, probably mid-day, let's say about noon or shortly thereafter. We are estimating about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of driving total plus the stop in Red Lodge. So, those interested, please weigh in on which date is preferred, and any suggestions about the time? Once we get the date and time set, more definite plans about the rallying point for meeting, probably Zoo Montana, on the south end of Shiloh road. Here is a link to the brewery:
