     Minis on the Beartooth this year will be Saturday, August 10th, 2013.  After setting the deadline of this past weekend to submit input, the date is set.  Mel and I have been discussing the details.  I understand she has some other priorities presently, so when we can clarify details, we will share them here. 

     If anyone else has some suggestions for the drive, such as number of stops, amount of time at stops, and anything else, submit them here for discussion.  Mel indicated that Heather may have some goodies from the MINI dealership in Seattle to possibly share.   That could be an interesting addition to the drive.  

     I can again coordinate with the Bridge Creek Backcountry Kitchen and Wine Bar in Red Lodge for the noon meal, unless other preferences are suggested during this planning time.  

Andy, we have a date set.  Would you put that on the website please, thanks.  

Other updates: the Grape Stomp Drive, is set for Saturday, September 28th, ending at Yellowstone Cellars & Winery,Billings (country roads, fall foilage, grape stomp and sip some wine).

Below is the e-mail we got from the 5280 club members regarding their upcoming Northwest MINI Road Trip.  We are still trying to work out whether we can get away for at least part of this trip (Missoula to Oregon).  They are hoping to pick up MINIs along the way and will be passing through a fair section of Montana en route to Seattle and the Oregon coast.  I'm sure they'd appreciate having this linked on our Big Sky MINI website (Rallies page?)

Anyway, hope everyone gets to take a look at the proposed itineraries and if interested and can make it, contact Rick or Kristan.

I got your email from Kristan, who said that you're interested in joining us on our trip to the Northwest. This is the information compiled by a couple of members of the group (now up to 7 MINIs). It should be pretty accurate, but please understand that some information may change without notice. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

We also have a "GroupMe" group that exchanges text messages to keep in touch with plans, etc. See groupme.com for more info. If you want to join, let me know and I'll send an invitation to your cell phone. If you have a smart phone and you download the app, then you can have more control (such as muting) with the texts. It's pretty handy with a smart phone, but it will work with a regular cell phone too.

Kristan has created some wonderful graphics for the trip! We will have 3" round magnetic grille badges available to tour members for $7/each (our cost to you) AND we have a way that you can order shirts with the custom graphics from a service called CafePress (everybody orders their own). CafePress is used by our club, MINI5280 to provide club graphics on shirts, etc. at only $1 above production and postage cost. Please take a look. Mini 5280 Northwest  Tour

June 1-9, 2013

We have set up blocks of rooms at each of the locations below.  You will have to call now and get your own room set up, if you wish to stay with us.   You need to call the specific person on the list and ask for Mini Cooper Car Club or Mini 5280 Car Club.   You need to call in the next week or so.   If you make other arrangements, please let Stacey Brown know at bc3...@gmail.com so she can cancel block rooms.   Our goal was to get affordable, clean accommodations rather than 5 star accommodations.  Hope this works for everyone.
