I thought I'd send this reminder to consider the Fall Foliage & Grape Stomp this Saturday. See the initial post for details.

A couple pictures after the drive. And a couple words about the drive: The route:  South on Blue Creek road, L turn on the Pryor road, L turn onto Old Hardin road, Into Lockwood, a short time on I-90, and then frontage road past the original KOA, ending at the Yellowstone Winery for the Grape Stomp.  We saw Curves, Trees with fall colors, Turkeys crossing the road, Shrubs/brush with fall colors, Curves, and Curves. About an hour of driving, and a couple hours at the Stomp.   We even made it in time for the blessing of the grapes harvest!  It was nice to see Brit and Roxanne, Stuart, Betty at the event.  We even made two new MINI friends at the Stomp.  Ok, time to post this and see how the pictures show up, I'm still learning how to upload here.

Russ,
Looks like you guys had a great outing! I'm so envious as it looks like the weather was perfect and having the classic Mini there is such a treat!
How was the wine? I would have loved to participate in this!

BTW, I need to follow through and update our site with details of your next motoring trip. I'll send you an email regarding that.

Andy, the weather was perfect.  The drive was short because of the Grape Stomp, but that was ok.  And the wine is quality.  Betty enjoys the Summer Blend which to us tastes much like the quality Rhine Riesling we drank over 30 years ago in Germany.   And I'm drinking red wines with more enjoyment, with the Cab Franc my preference when I visit the winery; but that red is just one of several I've enjoyed from the Yellowstone Cellars & Winery, including RimRock Red, Malbec, Petite Verdot, and Sangiovese.   One of our new friends we met on Saturday, Ilene, enjoys Syrah, for example, so the taste preferences can be met if you like wine.   But we should not slight the white wines, as the Roche Jaune, and the Voigner we have tasted and enjoyed too.  And I haven't named them all:  http://www.yellowstonecellars.com/our-wines      I should get paid for this advertisement, but I'm not.  :)
