One week to go

Since I got confirmations from everyone that originally wanted to join us (thank you!), we've got final numbers.  And thanks to Russ for handling the lunch restaurant, Bridge Creek, we have final details regarding the meal there.

If you were with us on our first rally, lunch will be the same as that this time--we'll have the upstairs Cabernet Room, which has a balcony overlooking Main Street.  It will be a buffet-style lunch (sandwiches, salads, etc.), with beverage choices of lemonade, iced tea, or water.  The charge will be $16 per person, which includes the meal, beverage, and tip.  If you'd like something different or extra, there will be a charge for it, which you can pay directly to a server when you pay your ticket--there won't be a group check.  The restaurant says we can pay at any time throughout our meal, so we don't all line up to pay at once at the end of the meal.

As suggested by Kathy, we have the option of using Group Me.  I haven't fiddled with it much yet, but I'm going to give it a try this week.  It might be an option for keeping in touch throughout the drive.  Although it makes me a bit nervous to mess with phones in the car (no texting and driving!), we can always give it a try.  Let me know if you're interested.

As usual, though, I'll be bringing my walkie talkies to use along the drive.  If you have them as well, please bring them--we tend to chat as we motor.
