Pohakuloa, in the center of Hawaii Island, is a 133,000 acre US military base used for war training by the US. Army, Navy, Air Force Marines, and foreign countries too. The lands at Pohakuloa are Hawaii Crown and Government lands illegally occupied by the US military. Millions of live rounds have been fired annually for over 80 years at Pohakuloa, contaminating the air, land, and water with a wide range of toxins, including Depleted Uranium (DU) radiation lead, PFAS, etc.
Military bases generate wars. The United States has used its bases in Latin America and the Caribbean to attack Venezuela, while threatening to take over Greenland to build more bases there. Iran is bordered by seven nations with U.S. bases. The nations to the south and east of China are packed with U.S. bases, as is Europe, as is Israel.
Hawaii is the Headquarters of US bases in the Pacific and Asia. The US military assisted Business interest –Sugar Barons, to overthrow the government of Queen Liliu'okalani in Hawaii in 1893 and has continued the illegal occupation of Hawaii ever since.
