I am new to this benchmark and want to run the following benchmark on a machine with openSUSE tumbleweed as the operating system and ARM64 (aarch64 architecture). And since it (CDH) involves lots of specification constraints on the software versions, I am facing numerous problems, two major ones being:

(a) Oracle jdk 1.7 is not available for Aarch64 (ARM V8) but I installed openjdk instead.

(b) Cloudera support is itself not there for ARM.

Which brings me to my question as to whether we can run this benchmark for non cloudera platforms ?

Thanks :)

The benchmark should run on any distribution of Hadoop, including the Apache version. You will need Hadoop, Hive and Spark.
