Is there a way to access a Bifferboard to see what it has been instructed to perform?

Not quite sure what you're asking, but you could use a TTL serial
cable, connected to Bifferboard's serial console
http://www.bifferos.co.uk/pinouts/ to monitor the bootup messages;
and/or you *may* be able to use the unsupported
https://github.com/bifferos/bb/tree/master/tools/jtag to dump the
entire flash and then reverse-engineer it (not easy!).

As you can see from the amount of (in)activity in the mailing list,
there doesn't seem to be much happening with the Bifferboard now
(there are many other cheap more powerful embedded Linux boards).
