¿Puede la gente elegir su propia salud?
(Do People Choose Their Own Health?)
In this session, the Social Determinants of Health are analyzed. Very often, health professionals and patients speak
only of what is wrong with the person and the medication or treatment they need. But sometimes diseases such as heart and premature babies and many other diseases are influenced by inequalities in health care. Not only is this influenced by history and the
choices that matter in the individual's family, other things like the environment, education, and location of hospitals play a role in making health decisions.
