Dear BIDS Community,
We are excited to announce that the Stim-BIDS Extension Proposal (BEP044) for standardizing stimulus files and their annotations is now ready for public comments and review. This BEP addresses the need for a structured way to organize, reference, and annotate stimulus files within BIDS datasets.
Key features of the proposal include:
* A standardized structure for the `/stimuli` directory
* Introduction of `stimuli.tsv/json` for listing and describing stimulus files
* Support for both still and time-varying stimulus annotations
* Compatibility with existing BIDS events files
* Enhanced FAIR principles for stimulus sharing
