array data in BIDS .tsv files

Dear BIDS community,

there is an ongoing discussion on "array data in BIDS .tsv files" ("data cells") on GitHub and I want to invite you to take part.

The immediate practical use case relates to annotating which particular channels (EEG, iEEG, ...) an event is associated with (i.e., a row in the events.tsv file). However given that the outcome of this discussion may create a precedent for BIDS, and given that "array data in BIDS .tsv files" may be relevant for other data modalities and use cases in the future, participation from the community would be great.
