The live session user has no password - it is named according to the operating system name, in lowercase ("ubuntu" or "kubuntu" or whatever) and their password is set to the empty string (nothing, or blank or whatever you want to call it).
If you ever log out by mistake, you can log back in by choosing the user icon from the graphical login screen and hitting the login button (or pressing ENTER on the empty password field), but if you got the lock screen triggered(*) then you can't unlock it because the lock screen password dialog will not accept an empty password.
*) Given the situation with the lock screen, I think it's dumb that the live session user even has a default screen lock timeout - which, BTW, a default OEM installation doesn't. They should build live images without a lock timeout. If you ever plan on running something long using a live session (like, checking a large drive for bad sectors), make sure to inhibit the screen lock - in Kubuntu it's as easy as clicking the battery widget in the system tray and checking the "manually block sleep and screen locking" checkbox in the menu that opens.
Hear songs from local musicians as they perform live from the KSMU studios. This hour-long event, held at noon one Friday out of each month, mixes conversation with performance. We'll learn more about these musicians and their love for music, as well as the music itself.
I had the same issue and resolved it by also selecting the "Preview selected elements in Live Visual Tree" sub-option (i.e. under Tools > Options > Debugging > General > Enable UI Debugging Toos for XAML). Whenever I unchecked that option, the Live Property Explorer and Live Visual Tree windows would go back to showing the "UI Debugging is either disabled..." message again.
On my end, the issue was that the Target device under the project Properties\Debug\Start Options had somehow changed from "Local Machine" to "Simulator". Going back to "Local Machine" (without changing any of the other debug options mentioned in the other answers) brought back the live visual tree and the live property explorer.
Another thing that can cause this to fail is security common in a corporate environment. If the other solutions do not work for you (and your code is not already there), try moving your code to a location under your Documents folder. There are sometimes exceptions to security constraints on your Documents folder, and those security constraints can keep this feature from working.
I've followed this support document from Microsoft but unchecking "Enable full solution analysis" seems to have no effect on live code analysis. Then I found a solution for Visual Studio 2012 but also without any luck.
So it seems to me that live code analysis is a complete different thing not managed by full solution analysis. It is running immediately as a background process task after (re)starting the solution. Anyway, how can I get rid of this?
I had a similar problem. There is this huge temp initialization file in the project, 50K+ lines. Whenever I opened it, Live code analysis would kick in and VS would eat up CPU up to 50%.I was able to turn it off by creating an empty rule set and set it on Code Analysis section of the project's properties. Now It looks like it's running, only for a few seconds and then it stops since there is no rule to apply.
I was able to make VS 2019 run at acceptable speeds using the 'Auto cancel long running auxiliary operations on typing' setting. The default 'Automatic' setting appeared ineffective, although changing it back now doesn't seen to re-introduce the very slow background processing issue.
I have been following Joey's work since the early Prada days... This is one of the best discussions any producer has ever contributed to digital audio. I love the amount of transparency. He simply reveals everything and guides you on a very wise path on how to become a in-the-box producer like him! Turns out, the answer is -- a ton of hard work! Plus, this has to be the best use-case on his own awesome and super-affordable plugins. I have watched almost every popular producer/engineer workshops and have also sat-in on Eddie Kramer, Alan Parsons and Quincy Jones producer workshops and believe it or not... This is the best one yet.
I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the bands Joey records. The only reason I bought this class was because I enjoyed the Periphery one so much.Joey takes modern production techniques to the absolutely extreme. He takes punch-ins and editing to a level where it's not even funny any more.If you're looking for tips on recording and mixing in general, this class is not for you.If you're looking for editing tips to see how far you can possibly push the strive for perfection, this is pretty spot on.If you're a beginner, don't take this class to heart - Joey's workflow is borderline psychopathic - go and get the Periphery session instead. If you've been recording for a while and you're looking to see how far editing can take you, it's worth a look.
Easily one of the best investments I've made. There is so much information here that you'll have to watch it multiple times to really catch everything. Looked up to Joey Sturgis for a long time and this is literally a dream come true to get a behind the scenes look into his talent. He delivered the material in a very understandable fashion and was extremely clear with all his examples. I love creative live =)
