PATH’s Living Labs Initiative accelerates the pace of health innovation by co-creating with users to rapidly design, test, and scale solutions to their long-standing challenges. They envision a world where all communities have the solutions they need to live healthy lives. They use a human-centered design (HCD) approach to solve problems that enables the global health community to shift from prescribing solutions according to a perception of people’s needs to co-creating solutions that actually meet their needs.

They currently have a presence in four countries in Africa with over 25 Design and Innovation Specialists who draw on PATH’s 40+ year history of inclusive health innovation. Through their work, they have accumulated insights from over 1,000 users across the health delivery spectrum.

Living Labs offers a range of services that may be of interest to members of the BLN. They recently developed a playbook to provide further detail on the types of services, estimated costs, and how they might address your organization’s needs.
